If a child has not been picked up from the nursery on time, at least two members of staff will wait with your child until you are able to collect them. In extreme circumstances the nursery will need to contact emergency contacts you have supplied and /or outside authorities to inform them of the situation. The nursery operates a strict security system which can only work with your help. We will not release a child to anyone other than the parent/ guardians unless arranged in writing by you. Should a telephone call to us be the only method, we will ask for many details from you before we will be happy to release the child. Such information will include: make, model and colour of car, name and description of the person, car registration number and estimated time of arrival. We are happy for a parent to ask this person to use a password which you will have previously supplied to us. We will be unable to release a child if they are distressed about the person collecting them, or if a member of staff is unhappy with the situation. At this time we will telephone you for confirmation again. These situations make it essential for you to keep us up to date with current telephone numbers. We will need to be able to contact parents at any time and any short term numbers can be handed to us when leaving your child.

We operate a CCTV monitor at the entrance to the nursery and no access is given to the nursery without a prior appointment.
